I have been struggling to build a site with Wix for over a month now. Their platform is so rudimentary and inefficient it blows my mind. I am accustomed to building sites with real software, not this crap. But my client wanted to try and save money. However, he could never afford to pay me for all the time I have wasted on the phone with their reps who cannot even answer my simple and appropriate questions. Yesterday I was told that the "advanced support team" would be calling me at 2:30 pm today to try and work out any "bugs" on their end. It's now 3:15. So I requested another phone call via the website. This last conversation was with a woman who barely speaks English. She put me on hold for 11 minutes while she tried to figure out what happened to my incoming called, and then the call was dropped! I am beyond frustrated with Wix and their customer service. If you want a functioning website, stay away!
Without notice, my annual fee jumped from just over $95 to $159. No documentation for price increase announced. Lady in customer service completed my refund request and said it may take 20 days. Less than two hours later, I got an e-mail denying my refund request.

We were very excited to get started with wix and be able to take credit cards and payments online. They were very helpful at first, until we got going. After 3 months of getting prompt payments, they started to randomly hold back payments for no apparent reason. The times they held the payments got longer and longer until they stopped paying all together. They owed us over $5,000.00 at one point, causing late fees to be assessed by our vendors as well as putting the other small businesses we deal with into hardship while waiting on wix to get it together.
NEVER use this site for e-commerce or business needs.
My business mailbox was stopped suddenly without any previous notifications.After waited about 2 hours over the phone And been advised that I can not renew the mailbox using the same bank account. That is absolutely ridiculous and disappointing from Wix to bullying people businesses in such a way.
I have been with wix for 2 years and when I tried to change companies wix erased some code and my site started to error.... So I paid for maintenance of the site monthly and they wont fix the problems the caused... And the app is slow to load... And to work with...
After recent conversations with Wix website builder, we have come to a resolution. I appreciate the willingness of Wix to solve my issue. Refund was issued in a reasonable time, as my rating reflects. Thank you for working together to resolve the issue.
What kind of web builder doesn't allow you to edit CSS. Features are arbitrary and limited. The code is generates is spaghetti crap and even through the documentation say it supports iOS 12, it doesn't display background images uploaded through the UI. Honestly I've never been more infuriated with a website builder. Just avoid it. Like the plague.
The website builder is intuitive to set up a full website in a day. The customer support calls back in a few minutes. I haven't had any delays with e-commerce and no surprise charges for the years I have been using Wix for three websites.
To no one's surprise, the 50% discount is not real. I am marking a star down for that disingenuous marketing and wix's terrible refund policy. Four stars is fair because for $100-350 a year you're saving thousands that might otherwise go to a web developer or host that either ghosts you or turns your website into a porn site. The wix website is functional, quick to edit, and just works.
missed the email for the "auto renewal" and Wix has refused to refund a $330+ annual charge. Disappointing. Avoid this vendor if you can.
A designer calls and gives you a price and you pay half down. Then you get emails to start sending info and pics. They give you different emails for different things. They then ask for another payment. They then tell you they are not getting info that you sent. After a while you are told to send more money! You send receipts and find out three different people from around the world with no phone access are building three different sites and taking down payments!
You do not have any money left to pay for one site and they all have your money for finishing nothing! WIX itself will not call you! One person then let's you know they send your request out to six different people and you choose whom to hire. Would have been nice to know this ahead of making any payments!

When you make a request on WIX, they automatically send it to six WIX Partners. As the client who sent the request, you get to receive six answers and six quotes and then you choose the person you want to work with. So, you should have replied to each email and saw the person you like and then go with him or her.
WIX is not a scam. Every partner is trying to make a living and they will respond to each request they receive. Try to understand.
I also felt like you were dealing with two different people since i gave you a quote for 860 USD but you pointed out that we had discussed 600 USD to 800 USD. Which wasn't the case.

Absolutely terrible customer service. We’ve been waiting for over 2 weeks & cannot update our website! Horrendous! Avoid at all costs. The ‘computer says no’ seems to be their preferred response. No ownership of complaints. No escalation - one size fits all. Terrible...avoid at all costs!
They charged my credit card it after I did not even worked for the company I used this Wix.com for.
Warning! I have not received an invoice, an email, a subscription renewal email.
It was also very difficult to contact them. Call the number 1-800-600-0949 and they send you wo website where you have to go though questions that do not fit my problem, answer wrong in the hope I will get to talk to someone. Looping through the chat bot, very "techy".

Suddenly the editor didn't load after renewing my website. There's no direct chat support so I had to go many times through a chart to find the issue I was dealing with. The questionnaire couldn't help me and requested me to send an email + screenshot. When I wanted to send it, it gave an error and requested me to come back later. This cost me 4 hours.
If I could give ZERO stars I would. This company is a huge scam! DO NOT, I repeat DO NOT use this company for your business or you will forever be paying them for a premium account and you are unable to cancel it. They will continue to draft your bank account even with multiple phone calls and all the credit card information given to them to stop all future payments. They claim to not know how to locate a dead account and the charge, but continue to take money out. Then I had someone tell me they located the charge but are still unable to stop payments without all the credit card numbers on a card that was previously damaged and replaced. I have contacted legal authorities to assist with this at this point.

Price jumped over 50 dollars for annual subscription without prior notice and refund was denied.
